Brand Identity & Website

RIOS was founded in 1985 as a multi-disciplinary design firm. As the brand evolved from its core architecture and landscape architecture business into a new era of cross disciplinary collaboration that included interior architecture, urban planning, product design, environmental graphics, brand identity, and fashion design, they embarked on an ambitious re-design of their visual identity.

Working directly with the partners, and leading a team of strategists, graphic designers, marketing experts, and digital designers to develop a rich visual language that would allow the brand to express its multitude of voices, while remaining cohesive and memorable. Designing for a growing organization, part of our brief was to develop a framework that allowed the brand to reposition itself as a design house comprised of diverse voices. The result was a striking visual language that married simplicity and exuberance, and could be modulated in either direction, creating an identity that will carry the brand into the future.
